It’s Time for a New Kind of Commercial Real Estate Event

Beginning January 2017, is launching a groundbreaking series of educational events for commercial real estate professionals. The first event, Facilities Management in an On-Demand World, features keynote speaker Brian Schwagerl, an expert in sustainable design and construction who has reached millions of people sharing his strategies of how real estate assets can improve employee performance. Notable among Mr. Schwagerl’s accomplishments are the spearheading of the office transformation projects at NBC Universal and the development of Hearst Tower.

The monthly event series, dubbed LIVE, was created after carefully listening to the needs of the commercial real estate community. They told us that as much as they liked mingling with their peers over a martini or an IPA, what they really wanted to soak up was knowledge. So we set out to build an event series that was brief (over by 11:00 am), on-point (tailored to a specific type of real estate professional) and impactful (expert educational sessions).

Though we are still planning out the full 2017 schedule of events, the first four are built around technology themes related to facilities management, property management, commercial brokerage, and retail real estate. The format is a three-hour morning event that consists of breakfast, influential speakers, a panel discussion loaded with thought leaders, and meaningful education sessions with real learning objectives. Every event is themed for a particular type of real estate professional and is the culmination of a series of interactive programming leading up to the day of the event including digital articles and webinars.
